Group forums
Loomio group collaboration tool.
Quick intro to Loomio
This page is a work in progress.
Loomio is a highly advanced group collaboration and decision-making tool for horizontal organisations.
You can find our public groups here.
F-hub.org support group
We have a specific technical support group for the main services on F-hub.org here. It can also be used to request approval of accounts on the main git-forge.
Subscribe via ATOM/RSS
All group forums also provide ATOM feed urls for public posts. It can be accessed by adding .xml
to the group URL like this.
Hosted groups
Expanding on the old Freegamedev.net service of hosting phpBB sub-forums for project coordination, it is possible to request Loomio groups. Once a new group is created, we can designate a group-admin to take over control.
Loomio groups are fully self-managed and group-admins can create new sub-groups by themselves. Group membership is also on an individual group level and members can be added or removed easily.
The Loomio group forums specifically are open to registration via email. This was enabled to ease on-boarding of new users into groups and F-hub.org itself. If a registered Loomio user later gets a full F-hub.org account, they can merge it to their existing account in the Loomio profile settings via Oauth2.
Direct user-creation is also open to existing F-hub.org members via the Continue with F-hub.org
Oauth2 button. This will redirect to the main Forgejo page and request permissions to access email and user name. Once this is done, single click login is available.
Existing group-admins can also create invite links for on-boarding external users easily. Alternatively groups can be configured to show a public request membership link, where people can sign-up with their email and group-admins can manually approve their accounts.
This page is still under construction.
Link to chat services
Loomio can be easily linked to external chat services.
For now, refer to the official documentation on this here.
We are currently working on a more stream-lined integration with our own hybrid chat network.
