# Translation tools

Learn about our Weblate and LibreTranslate translation tools.

# Weblate

*This is a work in progress*

You can find our [Weblate translation tool here](https://weblate.f-hub.org/).

You can log in with your account from our main git-forge easily and all registered users have permissions create new translation projects. If you run into any issues with that please contact us via the [\#support chat room](https://irc.f-hub.org/kiwiirc/#support).

#### Integration with git-forges

Weblate supports syncing and automatic creation of pull-requests on all major git-forges, including our own Forgejo instance.

This is still a work in progress, but we hope to activate this feature soon.

For now you can look up how the [integration works on the Codeberg documentation](https://docs.codeberg.org/codeberg-translate/getting-started/), which also uses Weblate and Forgejo for their service.

# LibreTranslate

*This is a work in progress*

We run a machine learning translation tool based on [LibreTranslate on our servers](https://translate.f-hub.org/). It integrates with our [Weblate instance](https://weblate.f-hub.org/) and the API is used by some of our hosted Fediverse services.

#### API access for external services

Currently our LibreTranslate instance also provides automatic translations for the [Outmo.de Akkoma instance](https://outmo.de) that we host on our infrastructure. We also plan to add translation functionality to other hosted projects soon.

If you are interested in getting full API access for a FOSS project that you run yourself, please let us know and we might be able to work something out together.
